Last updated: 21 April 2026
Kool Telecom does not tolerate use of the kool.tel short-link service for spam, phishing, fraud, harassment, or distribution of illegal content.
What to report
- Unsolicited commercial SMS (spam).
- Phishing or impersonation of a brand or person.
- Fraud, scams, or attempts to extract money or credentials.
- Harassment or threatening content.
- Illegal content under Canadian law.
How to report
Email abuse@kooltel.com with as much of the following as you have. A forwarded copy of the offending SMS is usually enough.
- The full text of the message you received.
- The
kool.tel/m/…URL(s) contained in it. - The sender phone number, if visible.
- The approximate date and time you received it.
- Your phone number (so we can confirm the message reached a real recipient) — we use it only to investigate and will not contact you for marketing.
What happens next
We triage abuse reports within one business day, disable the offending short links while we investigate, and terminate service for customers who are confirmed to have violated our acceptable-use policy. We cooperate with Canadian law enforcement and with our upstream carriers where required.
Opt out of a specific sender
To stop further SMS from a specific Kooltel business customer, reply STOP to the message. That unsubscribes you from that sender immediately. If you continue to receive messages after sending STOP, report it to abuse@kooltel.com.
